The location was perfect, but the traditional vibe of the circa 1900 home in San Francisco’s leafy Presidio Heights wasn’t a fit for this fun-loving family of four.

The Envi team fell in love with the structure’s grand proportions, gorgeous views and graciously curving central staircase. To highlight this structure, Envi commissioned a 4-level statement chandelier from Bocci that doubles as a breathtaking contemporary sculpture.

On the main level, living room and dining room are anchored with handcrafted custom tables from a favorite Envi resource and occupy either end of a long, open room with a central fireplace and bespoke home bar.  Envi selected new tile, lighting and furniture to re-fresh the Kitchen palette.

The second floor holds bedrooms for the family’s children.  The spaces are colorful and personalized with custom wallpaper designs that combine study space and nooks for quiet retreat.  A tailored playroom offers space for messier creative pursuits.

The top floor, with its remarkable views of San Francisco Bay, is home to the primary suite and the wife’s office–an idyllic retreat in a soothing gray blues and wallcovering.

More fun factor elements on the home’s garden level include a home gym; a custom home theater complete with a “lobby” arcade and concession area.  Envi designed the outdoor living room and kitchen with multiple grilling options and pizza oven, a full bar and a moon gate-inspired gate.
