Cabo
Our Process
Envi spent three years designing this 15,000-square-foot ultimate beach house on a rare, Sea of Cortez site with smooth sand and beachfront surf in vacation home getaway of Cabo San Lucas. The extreme indoor-outdoor-living home functions as a boutique hotel for friends and family (the house comfortably sleeps 30).
Created in a purely Cabo palette of beachy whites, sandy tans and pink and deep blue-sky shades, the residence incudes 4 bars, 10 bedrooms, multiple courtyards, “6 or 7” fire pits, 5 outdoor showers, a secret night club (with speakeasy-style hidden entrance), and a commissioned copper el cardon cactus sculpture with a face, named Fernando (to greet arriving guests). And not to forget – the swimming pool. The project was a welcome opportunity for Envi to draw upon Principal, Susie Hoffmann’s experience in ultra-luxe international hospitality design and give the owners the ultimate Mexico escape the owners had hoped for.
There are things ENVI did that I wouldn’t have thought of in a million years. They knew what was going to work and they were so right. There’s nothing in the house we would change today, not one thing. It just feels homey the minute you walk in.
